Maya Rigging Practice Pieces - Weapon/Prop Rigging

A small collection of Maya-rigged weapons created as part of my final year of university for an unfinished project (replaced by https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nQn609). Basic rigs for first person animation, with preset poses stored for rapid development, such as mag-release states, bolt locking, fire poses, and extended stocks. These were intended to be used in a first-person animation showcase, and so were designed for ease of use within Maya. All rigs use NURBS curve controllers, with minor skeletal rigging for exportable movement.

None of the models, with the exception of the Scar-H, were modelled by me.

Ingram MAC-10 with options for stock, bolt, fire selector and safety.

M1911 with options for slide locking, magazine release, hammer rotation and trigger mode.

Python Revolver with set up for full cylinder control and individual bullet options.

SCAR-H with options for sights, stock, magazine, mag release, fire selector, trigger and bolt.
